WOW! That’s all I can really say about the wonderful styled shoot that Kelsey and the crew over at Two Sisters Ranch hosted on October 11th. In spite of the rainy Florida day, the session went off without a hitch, and there was no shortage of fantastic decorations, suits, dresses, flowers, and cakes to match all four seasons.
I arrived at around noon to find a flurry of activity on that rainy afternoon. I was greeted by Kelsey, the owner, and I was treated to a quick tour of the farmhouse, which has several sitting rooms and a full kitchen, with wood floors throughout, light colors, and rustic decorations. The 2800sq ft area of the venue can host weddings for 50 people, with larger parties being hosted at the barn area of the venue.
I packed light for this session- just grabbed my favorite two cameras, a selection of my prime lenses, and a small studio strobe all stored in my House of Flynn wanderlust bag. My next stop after getting the lay of the land was a large event tent outside the farmhouse to photograph the table setups. Each of the four tables had floral arrangements, place settings, chairs, and some smaller details to suit their season.
Next up were the cakes, provided by Station House BBQ. The cakes were arranged on the wrap-around patio of the farmhouse. My personal favorite was definitely the fall themed cake, with the winter one being a close second.
After the cakes, it was time for the couples sessions! Unfortunately, I had to head home before I was able to work with all four couples, but the time that I did have was great! I’m so used to being in a time crunch on a wedding day that it was nice to be able to relax, have some fun, and make some nice portraits.
This experience at Two Sisters Ranch definitely left a positive impression on me, and I’d love to work there again soon! View the full gallery on Pixieset, or check out some of my favorites down below.
